Korea vs Ghana World cup 2022: Ghana records first win at the Ongoing World Cup In Qatar By defeating Korea 3-2

 The Taejeuk Warriors of south Korea clashed with the black stars of Ghana this afternoon at the Education city stadium In Qatar, in the ongoing  2022 Fifa world cup.

This Group H fixture is the second match for both teams at the group stages of this years' world cup and it was keenly contested. At the end of the 90' minutes, The Black stars of Ghana secured victory with a 3-2 scoreline.

These two teams rolled out a strong lineups for this crucial game. Below is the lineups;

Analysis And Stats

The Tigers of Asia and the Black stars of Ghana went into this game on the back of a draw and a lose respectively, and both needed a win to stand a chance of qualifying to the knockout round of this competition.


Loking at the importance of this match both teams started right from the kick off with caution. Korea dominated the early proceedings but it was the black stars who got the first goal on the 24' minutes courtesy of a close range finish from Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu, after Korea failed to deal with a freekick from Jordan Ayew. 

The stars scored one more goal courtesy of Mohammed Kudus' Header and went into the break with two goals up .

Early in the second half, South Korea number one Gue-Sung Cho, single handedly restored parity. He scored two quick fire goals in the space of three minutes, 58' and 61'. With the scores locked at 2-2, Inaki Williams, the Athletic Bilbao forward teed up Mohammed Kudus  for team Ghana's third. The black stars held on to secure what could be a memorable 3-2 win, should they progress out of  their group.


Stats

South Korea dominated possession with a about 57 to Ghana's 43. They had more shots on goal 22 with 7 on target to Ghana's 7.  Ghana had onlly three shots on  target and those three were goals. There were a total of 17 corner kickss in the game. Korea had 12 and Ghana had only 7. There were also four yellow cards in the game and they were shared evenly between the two teams.

This win means Ghana stand a better chance of progressing to the next round to their counterparts Korea.
