Poland tried but France were too strong for them. They only managed to score a consolation at the dying minutes of the game courtesy of a penalty by their Captain Robert Lewandowski.

It was on the 9th minute of extra time so they didn't have any time to fight for a miraculous comeback.

With this result, France have matched to the quarter finals of the ongoing world cup in Qatar. Poland are heading home.

The second match was between current African champions, the Terranga Lions of  Senegal and The three lions of England. It was played at the Al Bayt stadium and it kicked off at 19:00 GMT.

This game was keenly contested but at the end, the three lions won with a 3-0 scoreline. England's three goals were scored by Liverpool skipper, Henderson, Tottenham forward, Harry Kane and Arsenal Star, Bukayo Saka.

Senegal couldn't pull a goal back. They did well but couldn't convert their chances. They were probably missing that clinical finisher in their Star man, Sadio Mane.

This result means, The Three lions of England have advanced to the quarter finals of the ongoing world cup in Qatar. They are joining up with France, the Netherlands, and Argentina. Senegal are heading back to Dakar.
