Highlights as Athletico beat Madrid 3:1 to emerge as winners of the Madrid Derby
This very crucial derby was played at the Estadio civitas Metropolitano in Madrid, the home ground of Athletico Madrid. It kicked off at exactly 19:00 GMT and ended 3:1 in favour of the home team.

The home team opened the scoring on the fourth minute courtesy of Alvaro Morata, the former Madrid player. Greizmann then doubled the advantage on the 18th minute, before Toni kroos pulled one back for Madrid, and then went into the break with Athletico leading 2:1.
Early in the second half Alvaro Morata scored his second of the day to make the scoreline 3:1 in favour of the home team. He latched onto a pass from the former Chelsea player Saul Nigez.
Madrid toiled but could not tie or overturn the deficit, hence the game ended 3:1 in favour of Diego Someone's men.
