To start with, Neymar Junior of Paris Saint Germain. It's no surprise that Neymar sits comfortably on top of this list. He has a variety of skills and he displays them anytime he likes. We can mention his rabona and rainbow flicks, his stepovers, his controls, and his twist and turns. Many pundits and football fans say, instead of he, producing this skills to create openings for his team, he does them to embarrass his opponents. He was even booked for showboating two seasons ago in a league one game, but that won't stop him. We cannot roll away his love for showboating. Last season, when his compatriot , Paqueta was booked for showboating in Lyon's league game against Troyes, he came out with these comments on social media; " The technical gesture is a solution, no matter where it takes place and no matter what minute it is performed. "This same thing happened to me last season. This season it's happened to Paqueta. Honestly, I don't understand the reasons. The famous Jogo Bonito is over. Enjoy while it lasts". It no surprise that he has come out to throw his support behind his compatriot Anthony Santos, who is facing media backlash for showboating. Come what may, "The Samba King" won't stop showboating.

In addition, Anthony Santos of Man Utd. Anthony has a signature skill that he displays frequently. It's just a double 360 degree turn around one leg with the ball attached to the other. About three days ago, he produced this skill in Man Utd Europa league match against sheriff Tiraspol, and it drew the ire of pundits. Paul scholes, the former Man Utd and England Midfielder led the way, branding the action as 'embarrassing'. He was even withdrawn at the interval by coach Erik Ten Hag, though the manger claimed, his substitutions was not down to the skill he had put on display. However, he has come out to defend himself by saying "I would not stop doing what has brought me this far". His compatriot Neymar, the master In showboating, has also come out to defend him with a message on social media which reads," Keep it up, don't change anything! go for it boy! Boldness and joy".

Again, Dani Alves formerly of Barcelona and PSG. Alves is another selecao player who has a strong love for showboating. Every game he plays, he displays his skill; be it a friendly or a big game. In PSG's champions league 2nd leg tie, against Man Utd at the Parc Des Princes in 2019, he produced a lot of skills while alone. A notable one happened in the first half, when he received a pass from one of his team mates, and with a lot of space in front of him to attack, he did a couple of meaningless stepovers instead. He ruined what could be a potential goal scoring opportunity. His team went on to loose the tie albeit a last minute penalty by Marcus Rashford. His needless showboating throughout the game was highlighted as one of the reasons behind their loss. However his countrymen notably, Neymar and Marquinhos, jumped to his defense. Even this occurance didn't stop him from showboating, he did at every other club he went to.

To conclude, I would say, the name showboating should be synonymos with Brazilians as they are very good at doing this. And they don't stop no matter the backlash.
